Scandals Saloon is a nice place. Best described by seuphanism - "It is what it is - no more,no Less". It is a country western bar that has a variety of country themed events. Drink prices are average for Ft Lauderdale. If you are not into the country western scene, its cool because the club is in the Gay Village of Wilton Manors so there are many other bars, clubs to go visit int he immedaite area.
The club is very clean, the staff are very courteous and friendly. Its worth checking out even if to just say "Ive been there".

This is probably gonna get some people pissed off at me, but here goes! I miss Manhattan South and originalcowboy crowd that used to hang out there. Many of the guys and gals that used to go to Manhattan South have simply disappeared or vary rarely come out to Scandals.
I quit taking line dancing lessons since they stopped offering them at Steel. I only go out a couple time a month now mostly just to see my buddies and I don't dance as much.
Scandals is a diverse crowd with most of what's left of the old Manhattan South crowd hanging out by the DJ booth.
The bar is crowded and people with drinks stand around on the dance floor. It is common to be sliding your way through a spilled cocktail while 2-stepping or line dancing.
The crowd is a combination of cowboys, bears, displaced club boys, "cowboy hunters", and really really drunk guys that stumble through the crowd and suddenly decide they know how to two step.
I always tell my buddies I feel like performing monkeys on the dance floor. Everybody watch the monkeys do Boot Scoot Boogey.
At Manhattan South, we were a "Band of Brothers" and "Sister". Everyone was respectful of each other, most wore nice country and western shirts on Saturday nights, and gentle flirtation was a tip of the hat, a glance, and a smile.
No one was ever allowed to stand on the dance floor with their drinks and of course knowing the rules and respecting the dancers they never would. Those who were new dancers were respected and encouraged and danced in the center of the floor out of the way of the others.
Scandals can look like a 100-car pile up on Saturday nights with dancers crashing into each other, slipping in spilled drinks, and running into people just lingering on the edges of the dance floor.
OK Good news is... the bartenders are great, friendly, and very responsive. After all of the above, you gotta say the owners did one hell of a job putting the bar together and promoting it. Bar looks great out side and inside and from time to time they have rodeo on the big screens. I don't dance as much so I'm always willing to watch the finals again. Josh Peek Grrrrrr! Scandals is what it is. Just know that if you are visiting and looking the "cowboy" crowd, we are usually over by the DJ booth.
Hope I don't get too roughed up for this. I do believe honesty is the best policy.

Mmmm..mmm.mmm, I love this bar! This place is definitely the drop of water in the desert. VEry friendly crowd, line dance and two step classes, comfortable atmosphere. Lots of fun on the weekends with wall to wall folks. Definitely a stop if you like the country western life.
