I wanted to ensure that the Association is aware that the International Balloon Fiesta is taking place the same weekend as the finals. It could be quite the issue to get a hotel room in Albq. that weekend. You may want to encourage folks to get their rooms at the guest hotel as soon as possible. Rooms become impossible to reserve during this time. We normally expect 10's of thousands of out of town visitors durning this time. It is not unlikely to have over 100,000 folks at the Balloon Fiesta on Sat. & Sun.s for this event. Normally every hotel in the City is booked way in advance. JUST A HEADS UP.
