I grew up working on my family’s ranch in northern Mexico during summers. I’ve recently moved to austin and am looking to expand my circle of freinds, focusing on people that are oriented to the western or country lifestyle. .

Currently living in Rochester, NY.
I moved to TX 14 years ago and temporarily moved back to NY to reconnect with my roots.
I was raised in the beautiful countryside of Rochester, NY. Yes, there is country in NY, I am probably more country than some Texans I have met. It was an interesting childhood. My parents chose to live a simple life with a focus on old values. I grew up in an old drafty farmhouse chopping wood for heat, riding horses and my mother would make homemade jams and jellies from fruit trees on the property. My parents instilled old fashioned ideals and morals in my sister and I growing up. I believe in treating people with respect and dignity, until proven otherwise by their actions. I am really a simple guy once you get to know me.
I have a sarcastic/witty sense of humor and will speak my mind. I will say what people are thinking but that no1 has the guts to say out loud. I10d to be very direct but I really don’t mean any offense by my opinions. I can be a bit crass an sometimes lack some tact but I usually have good intentions with what I have to say. I don’t sugar coat anything but some situations require a direct approach to get the message across properly. I will tell it like it is. It’s just my observations, right or wrong
I will be moving back to TX, November, 2013.
This much has been decided and it is definite!
I have already started a savings account for the trip back. I am planning it so that I will never have to leave my beloved Texas and the gay community I have come to love. My goal is to save up enough money over the next 2 yrs and be able to put a sizable down payment on a home and keep my expenses so low that I could work part time at $10/hr and be able to meet my living expenses.
After 14 yrs being gone, I am Texan at heart with my values and outlook in life.
There is a little bit of TX sunshine in NY and I am determined to remain true to who I am, a cowboy!
So what is a cowboy; If momma and poppa raised him right his clothes are always clean and ironed, his hair is clean and parted, unless of course he has been working and you can rest assured he has worked hard, he knows nothing worthwhile ever comes easily and will work for what he has but he will clean up nicely before supper is served. This is where the pride comes in, everything he has, he has worked hard to obtain. He will have good manners and believe in doing the right thing by himself and others. He will be considerate of others and make sure you are having a good time and feeling comfortable. For underneath that rough exterior and ego, lies a heart that is kind, warm, caring and sensitive, who will give you the shirt off his back should you need it, he is passionate and considerate, a man with honor and integrity. He has learned to appreciate the little things in life and cherish the people around him he depends on. He will never forget an act of kindness and will find a way to repay you even if it’s simply by offering his loyalty and devotion. He will come to your aid should you need it without question or wanting anything in return, he knows someone has done the same for him at1 point.
DONT ever, ever mistake the kindness for weakness, it his greatest strength and his means of survival in the harsh climate of TX.
I was involved with The United Court of austin (a non-profit organization) and participated in a weekly bake sale held at CharliesATX. I have helped to raise OVER 100k with the simple magic of cake baked by myself along with numerous volunteers. AMAZING what cake can do!
There’s ALWAYS room for dessert!
Thank y’all for all your support all these years!
Life in Texas is taken a little slower and people embrace each others individuality. What a wonderful gift austin offers to be able to just relax, be yourself and have your individuality and others around you celebrated to it’s fullest. I had the privilege of discovering and learning something different. TX offers a better way of looking at the world and the people around you.
austin gave me the permission to just relax and be myself with nothing to prove to anyone. I no longer feel that I have to live up to someone else’s standards or ideal, those are your standards, not mine. I am the only1 who defines who I am!
C’mon over, relax, pull up a chair and sit a spell, I’d like to know you better!
Sexually, I prefer younger bear chasers, preferably ages 25-50, cubs, athletic or muscle bears. NOT into overly overweight bears, sorry if that offends but doesn’t mean we can’t be friends.
I joined gym to lose the weight and get healthier.

Was born and raised in rural Texas but been living in austin for 8 years now. I do love the city but can’t give up my roots and so I’m still a country guy at heart. Love the outdoors, fishing, camping, hiking, boating among other things. I’m not a paying member of this site so I can’t read emails. Yeah, bummer. If interested you can email me at [email]

I m just a southern country boy in the beautiful Ouachita Mountains of arkansas. Looking to meet other country boys or cowboys that live near by. I live near the Caddo River and like to kayak and camp out in the summer and hike the mountains in the fall and ride back roads looking for deer, I love the freakin cool weather.I like real men who are confident in their sexuality and are past playing games and bullshit like that. Also like to kick back and have a few beers and sit around a camp fire. If this sounds like fun, give me a hollar. If you wear boots and Wranglers, then hell yeah give me a hollar.

Professional, educated, masculine beefy Texas cowboy here long way from home. Got transferred to California with work. Was born and raised in the Texas Hill Country on my families ranch. Been riding and competing in Rodeos since I was 5. Have competed in Calf Roping, Team Roping (Header), Break Away Roping, Reining, Team Penning, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending. Miss Texas alot but adjusting to CA. Down to earth, straight to the point guy here. Was a member of the Texas Junior Rodeo Association, 4-H Rodeo Association, Texas Rodeo Association, High School Rodeo Association, Southwest Quarter Horse Association, American Quarter Horse Association. Played football in high school and college. Went to UT austin (HOOK EM HORNS). Love old country music (the real stuff). Looking for friends, friends with benefits, dating, relationship, etc. Love to dance. (And I’ll ride that pony fast, like a cowboy from the past, be young and wild and free like Texas in 1880: (one of my favorite country songs - Texas in 1880 by Foster and Lloyd).

I live with my partner in the Palm Springs area, although I call the rural hills of arkansas and the Bavarian Alps my home. My love and passion are my horses. Training, conditioning & competing with them is what I live for so to say. Whether on horseback or on foot, my free time is always in the outdoors, exploring new trails or just listening to and taking in all that surrounds me. My partner and I live in town, although I feel most at home on my little horse ranch in the high desert with my horses, and I love to be amongst friends who are simple, real, and uncomplicated and enjoy the company. To all the young bucks out there, in my friendships I10d to consistently gravitate towards men over 50.

Being a cowboy is in the heart,it is how1 treats others. A simpler way of looking at the world, to be relaxed and laid back. I love cowboys. I was raised in the beautiful countryside of Rochester, NY. It was an interesting childhood. My parents chose to live a simple life with a focus on old values. I grew up in an old drafty farmhouse chopping wood for heat, riding horses and my mother would make homemade jams and jellies from fruit trees on the property. YES, there is country in NY! My parents instilled old fashioned ideals and morals in my sister and I growing up. I believe in treating people with respect and dignity, until proven otherwise by their actions. I am really a simple guy once you get to know me. I moved to TX 14 years ago but recently visited for 7 months to be with my aging parents and to reconnect with them. I moved back to austin, TX beginning of December just before all the snow storms hit.
I am very glad to back in TX where life is taken a little slower and people embrace each others individuality.I decided austin offered me so much more of what I want out of life. I do charity work at Charlies here in austin most Tuesdays 7-9pm as The Baking Bear. I have been living with HIV for 23 years now. My Dr. has helped me get my immune system back in check and the HIV is back in remission. As of July, I am now non-detectable and feeling much healthier. I placed this at the end of my profile cause it does not define who I am. Until there is a cure, it is part of my life.

I am a 38-year-old gay country boy living in the Ozark Mountains. My 31-year-old partner of 4 years and I currently live in SW Missouri but I was born and raised in NW arkansas. We would like to find other good old country boys to be friends with. We aint in the market for drama and games. Where I come from, you look a man in the eye and offer him a firm handshake to let him know you stand for what is right and your word is your bond.

I’m 40, 6’2, 195, mod hairy, masculine, HIV- tested 7/21/08, ddf.
Not sure what I expect from this site. I like masculine men. If I wanted to be with a woman, I’d be straight. I10d to like hairy guys, but not a requirement. I’m comfortable at the rodeo or at the opera, Luby’s or sushi, Home Depot or Crate and Barrel. I10d to get impatient with stupid people and bad (slow) drivers. I love to cook, go for motorcycle rides in the country, read books, feel the pull of the tide, stargaze (Orion, not Britney), and watch tv/movies. I’m more of a homebody, but I do like going out to live music at the Mucky Duck, Warehouse Live, Verizon. I grew up in austin, so live music is in the genes.
I’d like to meet someone my age /- 15 years (24-54 for the English majors), intellectually curious, with a good heart and not too screwed up. We all got baggage, but I need some stability and reliability. If you got a boyfriend and you’re looking for an extra, please keep looking. Been there done that, got the broken heart. Solve your current relationship before you start something new. Sometimes2 people with all the right stuff don’t click, sometimes they do. Only1 way to find out
I reply to all messages, I’ll be polite for a while. I don’t get the assholes who can’t say hello back. Being polite costs you nothing, but pays back big time. Sometimes there’s no chemistry; that’s OK. The hottest guys are huge turn offs when the attitude outweighs the pulchritude.
