I've cowboyed oround Nevada and Oregon a good part of my life until big business started taking over much of the ranches, you only cowboy because you love it, and it's hard to love it when it is run like a factory, putting in a calf table because it takes less manpower to brand calves, when they take the enjoyment out of it, it is time to go. So now I am driving a truck, it gives me the freedom I need and I get to see the country and meet new people. My grandfather and aunt were both

ranch growing up, when I was younger I would jump on horseback,
bareback and help my brothers run

I am a little rough around the edges pretty reserved, quiet, and conservative. Ask the people that know me best and they would tell you I am pretty laid back and very happy-go-lucky. I am the 6th generation of a texas cattle ranching family. I co-own and help run the family ranches and cow/calf operation. I grew up between our panhandle and south texas operations and have been in the panhandle the last several years. I grew up in a livestock enthusiest family, was very involved in 4-H and FFA, showed cattle and continued on to judge livestock in Jr. college at Clarendon, and in Sr. college at KSU. Enjoy working with kids and being able to see how the cattle we are putting on the ground at the ranch are preforming in a different aspect of the cattle industry.
I am not a drug store cowboy, don't need boots,jeans a hat and big shiny buckle to stroke my ego, I can rope and ride just as well in sneekers and levis or shorts and flip flops as I can in boots and jeans. I think it is what is inside of a person that makes then who they are, not what they wear. Though my daily apperal generally consists of boots and jeans you can rest assured no matter what I am wearing, I can rope, ride, tie down, casturate, brand, dehorn, tattoo, tag, vaccinate, A.I., halter break, clip and fit with the best of them.
