I was born onto a dairy farm in Neenah, Wi, but was raised farming in central Colorado. I am an ex-Marine and a combat veteran of Afgh, so I have no issues with anyone in the military; I know how it works and have played that game for 9 years. I’m currently in school for hydro electric engineering with a year left to go. I participate in most redneck games, hunting, fishing, drunken bon fire parties, high caliber automatic weapons and the sort, but I love my Jeep and love 4 wheeling when I can. On the other side, I’m kind of a nerd and like museums, books and dabble in my hobbies that include anthropology, archeology and geology. Who doesn’t like cowboys? Southern Gentlemen, or Gentlemen who know how to ride a horse and generally good with animals would most likely be very good with raising a family too. I was raised in a rural area where agriculture was part of everyone’s life. It is the values and masculinity that comes from that environment that I still find appealing. I want green valleys all year round (in my dreams), with grass that`s sweet enough for ME to eat! My hair went south long ago and the bags under my eyes don`t respond to the put-Preparation H-under-them advice (silly boy); I don`t have6-pack abs anymore (never did, actually); and I`m brave enough to admit that I use1 of those over-the-counter color treatments to take the gray out of my beard (I chose the1 with the best-looking guy on the front `cause I thought it might help) - a beard I don simply because it takes some attention away from the shiny dome above.
I love bicycles, though it`s a hobby that I`ve put on the back burner due to time and weather issues.
I`m an intrepid rock-hound, though I`m not as knowledgeable about geology as I`d like to be. Climbing mountains and finding treasures (not of any monetary value, really) is a lot of fun, especially when doing it with someone else.
I`d like to book passage on a cruise ship to Alaska and I`d like to hike to Machu Picchu, in Peru, before I die. Wanna come along? If you come, though, we may never leave the solitude of our cabin - and for GOOD reason!
