I will be attending the rodeo finals in Denver. I am flying in from another state,and will be there FRI and Sat only. I would like to attend the event you are hosting at the hotel on Sat night, But I noticed the shuttle to and from Charlie's starts on Sat night, and not Friday when most visitors are free. Why don't they start the shuttle on Friday so we can "hit the down" Friday night, and stay at the hotel on Sat to watch the show you are sponsoring. Thanks men,Matthew

Two comments, noted on Sidewinder’s website that presently Friday nights are Club Music. Are they switching Club music to Saturday or will both nights be Club Music?

The only time for country western dancing will be Thursday evening 7-9 PM for dance lessons and 9-? more country, and Sundays from 7 PM until closing.

So surely..during the rodeo..they realize that country music would be a great draw for the cowboys to go to sidewinders. Otherwise we might as well get a DJ and stay at the fairgrounds or is that the plan? For everyone to go to the host hotel and there will be country music over the weekend with line dancing and much more??? Just asking. I don’t give a crap about Club dancing. But just my 2 cents worth

I just went to the sidewinders web site. It says on the Calendar..to plan on an ALL COUNTRY WEEKEND.. so I will relax now.. YEAH!!! it may say club..but look at the mouse overs! is says..all country weekend! GOOD NEWS

As to the issue in question with SIDEWINDERS for rodeo finals and the music. YES ther WILL be COUNTRY MUSIC played on Finals weekend. ALL WEEKEND. YES the country music for the rest of the time has meen moved to SUNDAY 7 to close. As for the other Saturdays SIDEWINDERS will be haveing a mixtrue of 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and club music. If you STILL want country music on Saturday ask the WOLF PACK BAR (side bar) bartender (which is myself) for it I will be happy to accomidate you. Please Keep in mind this change in music venue is for bettering the bar for you.

Well thanks for all the info.. I figured they would do cowboy music for us redneck at the rodeo..and I know how ya have to better the bar.. nothing can stand still.. and you have to pay the bills and keep the doors open.. back in kc.. the country bar is country til about 9 and then it goes club.. so it is all over.. Thanks again for all the info..I’ll look ya up fer a beer next door huh?

FYI for those folks visiting Albuquerque in the future that may want to country dance on Saturday nights. The bar EXHALE on 4th Street has offered to start playing country music from 6 until 10 PM every Saturday night. After 10 it will be the nightly mix of mostly club and some country. After 10 the crowd does get pretty young.

Well, now that the dancing at Sidewinders is settled, hope to see all at the NM State Fairgrounds for the Finals, where I’ll be competing in Wild Drag. Friday registration is at Sheraton Uptown, then party moves to Sidewinders. I’ll be out dancing Fri/Sat/Sun and lead or follow, so tap me for a dance. I can even teach you if somebody don’t know how to 2-step. Red Hodeo
