Looking for a hotel roomie for the event. Will be renting a car, so vehicle will be there for both to use to get around. Please let me know if anyone out there needs to cut costs. :)

Hello all
I am not a cowboy myself but have always loved that kind of lifestyle. You can read a but more on my profile about it.
this may sound strange but i had never before heard of this site and the fantastic opporunities it offers. Meeting like-minded men from the States or anywhere around the worls has always been what i wanted but had no way of doing it. have no gay pals here etc. I really have no idea about how these rodeo events work. Do i need to be a member elsewhere other than this site? what do i need to do to start attending?
hope that someone will take the time to reply to me. After all this is what we hairy cowboys are about: integrity and solidarity

Hi Selleck, I am not sure if anybody answered your question that you posted on the Texas Big-D rodeo forum, but ALL of The gay rodeos that are a part of the International Gay Rodeo Association (www.IGRA.com) are open to the public. Everybody can attend to watch & cheer on the contestants as well as participate in the community events like bar nights & dances. If you want to compete in the arena for an event, you do need to join one of the 28 different regional gay rodeo associations, with 39 chapters, affiliated with the IGRA and pay the registration fee for the event. Registration is always the night before the rodeo, Friday evening from 6-9pm. You can fill out the forms then & compete for cash & your big rodeo buckle on Saturday & Sunday! There are still plenty of rodeos to choose from this Summer! The International Gay Rodeo Finals is in Denver in October this year. Again everybody is welcome, but to compete in an event at finals, You have to compete at other 2007 rodeos to accumulate enough points to be one of the top 20 in an events. I anyone is interested in renting a room in a Private house in 5 Miles from the Rodeo, send me a message. I have a large spacious 3 1/2 Bedroom house. Offering space to interested Cowboys.
