I second that when it comes to XM Radio. It's what got me into country in the first place. I was a die-hard into grunge, alternative, heavy metal ... but now I go to country concerts and want to start a rock-country band. Can't believe I missed out on it all this time. Can anyone steer me in the direction of good, more-current artists or groups? Thanks much.

Love Country music, more of a Keith Urban/ The Ranch, Emerson Drive "young country genre" fan. Have a very elceltic genre taste for music... but country's sweet! If any of you have a chance, my daughter Linnaea Bolen has a country ballad I'd written with some buds on wwswa [----] : "A Latte & A KIss" you can find it in the Top 40 there... also, if you check the Country on wwswa, there's2 more country tunes there that I'd co-written "My Ex Marks The Spot" and "Deep In The Heart of Dixie" you'll need windows media player to listen - the version's free to download... sure hope you country music lovers enjoy the tunes :) cheers all you handsome cowboys, freddy

You can certainly find all you want on Satelite Radio and several of the computer instant chat messengers like [----] or AIM you can set your chat IM to receive non-commercial radio with every conceivable music genra, including country, hillbilly and blues.

Best bet.. go looking for the sindicated stations from Dallas, such as 96.7 The Twister. In Oklahoma,96.7 goes dang near to OKC on good days. Clearchannel stations are not what you should listen to if you want the real Country scene. Sometimes they luck out,but Cumulus Communications,Citadel,and afew of the "smaller" communications have ALOT of genres to choose from that have good stuff all the time.AND PLAY REAL COUNTRY!

man i love "country music" but where the heck is country music at on the radio>?? seems it is like the "pop music from the 70s and early 80s" alot of incredible singers out there.whatever happened to steel guitars,fiddles?
