i think it is also willingness to continue loving each other when you irritate the daylights out of each other and work thru them. move past them,and allow your love to continue growing, and learn from the experiences.altho passion is great,you got to continue thru the day to day "grind" as well.be there for the "long haul" and realize sometimes it is just plain hard work :)

Hayseed is right. It's not always easy and you have to work to keep the spark going. I've been dating a guy for 2 years (now going on our 3rd) and there were times when I needed to back off and give space and other times when he had to compromise for me. It takes a willingness for both partners to want to make it work, but in the end, true love will prevail if it is meant to be. Time, patience, and compromise are key. I'm living proof. Good luck in your search and be daring enough to give true love a chance.

True love is over rated. It is a lot of very hard work, some times it is all1 way and if your lucky it will swing back and be some the other way, I have yet to see a relationship or be in1 that is perfectly 50-50. I think love comes in time, you dont start out with it. Love is the end result. Find someone you respect and like and can imagine being around forever and then build your loving relationship. My last relationship lasted 18 years, we are still in love but we cant live together anymore. Relationships are really difficult, so are friendships, they just dont happen they take a lot of very hard work.

I just had this pointed out to me... I'm not on this site because of a dare, not at all... I'm here seriously for other reasons completely... to meet hot guys: outdoor real men to chill with and/or to build a relationship. *some may have due to my latter post here thought otherwise*.. I'd meant I'd posted in this thread: "Who is daring to find true love?" that's the dare I was referring to... always been a sucker for the game truth or dare... grin :)

I agree...it's a package deal..good and bad...it takes effort on the part of both men...but, it can be soo sweet to share the everyday grind with a good honest man.....just have to weed out the "boys" with the cowboy fantasy, that don't understand that a "rural" man is prob a hard working, sometimes tired man.....again, it's more than the fantasy...it's more real than most realize....but i'm glad i found this site...i was sure tired of lookin' in all the wrong places and tired of all the games

true love is a "myth" urban or country or gay or straight. you have to break down both words because they mean diffrnt things to diffrnt people..you have to be honest with people about wh[----] want in a relationship and look for a similar person..opposites sometimes attract whic adds confusion..lol
