Please understand that this website filters what we post and sometimes changes words around, and it also lumps all of my text into1 big block, making it harder to read. Forgive me, but it's out of my control... Howdy ya'all! I prefer living out in the country and am looking for folks who understand and enjoy country and small town life. I spend my time mostly in Hico, which is about 70 miles southwest of the DFW metroplex. So if you ask, "Where's Hico? " I'll know you haven't read my profile! I don’t mind visiting outlying areas around Fort Worth, but I refuse to drive towards Dallas or other highly congested areas. Big cities make my skin crawl and I just cannot put up with the traffic. One of my biggest passions is anything to do with old/classic cars and trucks. Mostly mid 60's to early 70's Ford are what I am familiar with and really enjoy, but anything American really gets me going. I love looking at them, BSing about them, and fiddling with them. Yep, that means I get greasy and dirty from time to time. Very little interest in modern vehicles, so keep your Lexus and give me an old pickup to go bouncing around in any day. Boating and10t camping are fun activities I grew up with and I still greatly enjoy those activities. I just need to find someone to do them with. Flea markets, concerts/events/festivals road trips and traveling, home improvement projects, hanging out with friends and family, 80’s and 90’s country music are a few key things I enjoy. Bars and Clubs are really not my thing and I prefer to socialize with folks who can enjoy the world outside of the bar scene. I’m pretty simple to please and don’t like having a complicated, always on the go lifestyle. I enjoy getting out to do things from time to time, but laid back and relaxed is my style. Wasn’t raised as a rancher or farmer, but I am happiest out in the country in that kind of environment. I have worked cattle before, seen the good and bad side of farming for a living. I know it’s not all glamour and happy times. But still, my ideal lifestyle would consist of acreage out in the county, a variety of animals around, farm work to take care of, someone loving to stand beside, and a circle of good friends who enjoy all the same. I'm a quiet guy, more on the reserved and shy side, especially so until I am comfortable with someone. Don’t do much chatting on here, just mostly like to do the online version of people watching. A good dry wit and smart-assed attitude goes well with me. Common courtesy, manners, concern for others, smiles and handshakes are all good things. I’m not perfect and I get temperamental and moody like anyone else, but basically I try to be a decent human being (You should, too!). Please understand that you will not get very far with me if you are overtly sexual/vulgar, or too vague in your first message. I’m no prude, but I like guys that can use some tact when making a first impression. Please also have something halfway interesting to say, since I’m not much into idle chitchat..
