I find the cowboy attractive because of the masculine ruggedness of the character. The boots, hat, straight jeans, flannel shirt - great!! A nice moustache, beard, hairy chest would just complete the picture! The fact that they might be involved with nature, animals would also be a plus. I grew up in that environment and still like it.
