The term cowboy came from Mexico and the name used in Mexico was VASQUERO. The term cowboy in the United States came about during the Civil War when many adult men fought and died. Cattle ranch owners had difficulty in finding men to work their cattle so they hired boys who were more than willing to work for money. So that's how the word "COWBOYS" came about. Cowboys in those days were really "BOYS". When given time off they would go to town to buy supplies. This included smokes, beer and having sex with girls/women. These boys were raunchy, filthy and smelly but during those days it was all acceptable. Boys also had sex in the field while working the cattle. They would have sex with other boys whether it was heterosexual or homosexual sex. Sex was sex!

A garden and a few fruit/nut trees and a few chickens. Living as self sufficiently as possible, having outside work to do to stay healthy and in shape and being outdoors.
