Well. I think it takes more than a Cowboy hat, Boots, and Wranglers to make a Cowboy. I mostly
believe a Cowboy is an man, that is not afraid to get his hands dirty, someone that has had a good upbringing with the focus treating fellow people as they would like to be treated, not being materialistic, and enjoy the simple things in life. As for me, well not sure I am a Cowboy, but I have been thrown a few times off a horse, and had herded cattle, and cleaned my share of box stalls. I have hauled enough hay, picked corn, fixed fence, and helped with cows and horses in distress while giving birth. Can I lasso, or crack a whip. Prolly not. lol. But hey I will try anything once.

Thinking hard over life itself, getting to be a long one now of living in the wildlands without a
whole lot of gay male companionship. I'm deeply integrated into this remote rural community of ranchers and artists and retired professors who (mostly) don't care if I'm gay but take the attitude "He may be a queer cowboy, but he's OUR queer cowboy." I'm granted housing on this outfit in my retirement and put lots of time into the garden here that has maybe the most beautiful view of any in all the Southwest & I sure love to share it. I can grow about anything, from beef to orchids.
